The initial ChangeWorks award of $7500 is sponsored by Duke Venture Forward, Macquarie, and independent donors—but it’s just a start. The final amount is up to you. By contributing your FLEX dollars to the final award amount, you increase the money your project can receive and magnify the social innovation emerging from Duke students.
In addition, we are partnering with Bull City Forward, 8 Rivers Capital, and Non-Profit Consulting to provide winners with the support they need to transform their ideas into reality.
Bull City Forward, a community effort to improve the impact of social enterprises in North Carolina, will be offering meeting space and consulting support for winners as well as personal interaction with other entrepreneurs in the area.
8 Rivers Capital is a technology commercialization firm that brings new ideas to market. They will be providing professional support from business advice to legal support to make ideas into action.
Duke Durham Consulting will be providing consulting support to student groups for every stage of the non-profit organization process. They will provide valuable insight and in-depth guidance that can enhance student group’s ability to promote social change.
This competition is driven off your energy, submissions, and contributions. Everything that goes into and comes out of ChangeWorks is a reflection of the Duke student body.
