The Idea:
For Love
There are so many simple things we are all willing to do to help someone out, if we were only asked. It’s easy to overlook a problem when no one is telling you it exists. You can walk by a friend, a classmate, or a stranger, and think everything is fine, but if you knew they were in trouble you’d help them out. There are people who only need a little bit of help, and just don’t know who to ask. There are those of us willing to help out in little or big ways, but we aren’t really sure what we can actually help with.
For Love has come up with a solution to the problem. We are proposing a “Just Ask” campaign where you can ask us to help you with the smallest dilemma to the largest catastrophe. For Love will offer a safe haven for people to submit requests without feeling ashamed, and know that someone will be able to find them the help they deserve. Just Ask would be mainly web-based, think Craig’s List, or Couch Surfer, only more secure and a little less sketch, combined with Make-A-Wish. Just ask would receive requests for help, and then connect those people to individuals, or companies willing to help. This would allow people to give what they can and receive what they need. If I for example needed a new tractor, For Love could maybe connect me with John Deere, or with Jane Doe looking to give away a used tractor. No matter how small or large, Just Ask would be a place to voice peoples’ needs, and let anyone willing and able help out.
